Mengqi Fang

Mengqi Fang is currently working as a postdoctoral fellow under the supervision of Prof. Bhushan Gopaluni and Prof. Yankai Cao. She has received her PhD degree in Computer Process Control from the University of Alberta in July 2020. She received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Automation/Control Theory and Control Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology in China. Her research interests include Bayesian theory, probabilistic graphical model, discriminative probabilistic modelling, and process monitoring. In addition, she has been especially interested in applying advanced data analytic theories to develop effective solutions to real applications. Currently, she is working on the economic model predictive control of thermo-mechanical pulp processes.
